The WCF has announced the postponement of the Golf Croquet World Team Championships for both Tier 2 and Tier 3 until 2021. For Tier 2, the Federacion Espanola de Croquet and the other seven Competing Nations jointly decided on the move to 2021. For Tier 3, the Croquet Association (UK), the host club and the WCF Management Committee agreed on the postponement to 2021.
World HOF Relaunch
Although some might be surprised to hear that it had been “unlaunched,” the WCF has announced that it will be relaunching the World Croquet Hall of Fame in 2020. Bryan Dawson (AUS) will be inducted as the first new member since 2014 in recognition of his contribution to the sport as the manufacturer of the Dawson Ball. His certificate of induction was presented in person as part of the Opening Ceremony of the 2020 Association Croquet World Championship.
2022 AC Worlds Bid
The Croquet Association has submitted a bid to hold the next Association Croquet World Championship in London, July 16-14, 2022. The Hurlingham Club will be the headquarters with other London clubs providing additional courts. This bid has been accepted.
