The USCA is announcing the Toxaway Mountain Challenge in Lake Toxaway, North Carolina on July 10. The event is touted as a golf croquet exhibition and will feature a match with world class players Danny Huneycutt and Sherif Abdelwahab.

Danny Huneycutt began playing croquet in 2002 and immediately became involved in the North Carolina District administration, club building, teaching and tournament directing. His croquet achievements are, in chronological order, winning the 2005 National Championship, partnering with Jeff Soo to win two of three doubles matches in the 2005 Solomon Trophy, winning the deciding match to win a test for the USA during the 2006 MacRobertson Shield, winning three of three singles matches during the 2008 Solomon, contributing to the 2009 USA victory over Great Britain in the 2009 Solomon, and 2010 USCA International Rules Champion.

Sherif Abdelwahab is 49 years old from West Greenwich RI, member of the Newport casino croquet club, playing croquet since the age of 9 back in Egypt. In the only test match between the best in the world he was selected as one of the top 6 player in the world to compete against the best from Egypt in June 2009, in London England (the Ryder Cup of golf croquet) and handed out the first defeat to the Egyptian and the only one so far, highest ranking American in golf croquet, 3 times national champ and 5 times runner up, played in 7 world champion representing the USCA a few times as the team captain.
