The Championship is heating up, with numerous stories emerging from the courts. James Goodbun (ENG) played two fine jump shots to win from 5-6 down against Joe Dimech (AUS). Nine matches out of 64 went to a deciding hoop 13 in the third game. John van der Touw (AUS) did well in beating Yasser Esmat (EGY), top seed in their block. Reg Bamford (SAF) is the only player not to drop a single game, although nine players have won four matches out of four. Many of the blocks are still left in the balance as to which four players will qualify.
