Dedicated followers have probably already noted the evolution of the Morning Coffee column over the past few weeks. Rather than an opening blurb and a laundry list of news items with links, I've changed the format to a straight opinion/column format. The are a couple of related reasons for the change-up.
Last week, I talked a bit about how croquet players should remember when discussing the sport, that croquet is indeed the best sport. To recap, the main point being that as many players continue to invest significant time and money

Other votes so far include croquetrecords.com and mauicroquetclub.org. Should have had croquetrecords.com in the main poll. I think we'll do a club site poll in the future.
Another vote came in for croquetrecords.com came in. Two votes so far, it is now in the main poll. Also, someone submitted Oxford Croquet and I have added that to the main poll. I've also allowed the ability to vote for up to three sites.
Looks like the CA and Oxford Croquet are the big champs to date. Lots of club votes in the other category. Bowdon Croquet Club is popular. I've also added www.kroket.de to the main poll as it received four votes in the other category.
Archie Peck, Director of Croquet at the National Croquet Center and croquet's long-time ambassador, champion and friend, died today at the Palm Beach Hospice facility, succumbing to his battle with cancer of the tongue. Archie loved the Center and it was home for him. He worked long hours and performed superbly as teacher, organizer, lawn supervisor and ambassador to all.
