A Unique Opportunity to Partner with Croquet's Elite
The United States Croquet Association (USCA) has announced the return of the popular ProAm doubles tournament, a one-of-a-kind event that allows amateurs to compete alongside the world's best players. Part of the 2nd annual US Open GC, the ProAm tournament will take place on Monday, February 9, 2026, at the National Croquet Center (NCC) in West Palm Beach, Florida. With limited spots available, organizers are urging interested participants to act quickly to secure their place.
Last year’s event saw a surge of last-minute interest, with many players missing the deadline. This year, only 24 spots are open, and the first 16 players who sign up and become sponsors by August 15 will be guaranteed a spot. The tournament is a fundraiser that supports the US Open GC, an event that was recognized by many professionals as one of the top competitions of the year, second only to the world championship.
Tournament Details and Sponsorship Opportunities
The ProAm tournament is a one-day, Swiss-format event where amateur players are paired with top-ranked professionals for a series of doubles matches. Teams will play four to five rounds, with pairings initially determined by combining the D-Grades of the pro and amateur players to ensure balanced competition. The top teams will be awarded trophies during an exclusive dinner and awards ceremony.
Participation is open to all ages and skill levels, as demonstrated by last year’s players, who ranged from 9 to 86 years old with experience spanning from their first year to over 30 years.
To secure a spot in this highly sought-after event, players must become a sponsor. There are two tiers of sponsorship, each offering a unique set of benefits:
Gold Sponsorship ($1,500): Gold sponsors will be paired with a professional through a "high-low" system to create competitive teams. Their names will also be featured on event posters.
Platinum Sponsorship ($4,000): Platinum sponsors receive the exclusive benefit of choosing their professional partner. The selection process will be based on the date the sponsorship is paid, so early commitment is key. The first eight platinum sponsors will also have their names embroidered on the sleeve of the event shirt.
All sponsors will receive a personalized, long-sleeve ProAm shirt, lunch, and an invitation to a reception and dinner. The awards ceremony dinner will feature seating arrangements designed to encourage interaction between amateurs and professionals, providing a unique networking opportunity.
The ProAm doubles tournament is a cornerstone fundraiser for the US Open GC, helping to attract players from around the world and solidify its status as a premier global croquet event.
