The UK Croquet Association has been proactive in facing the COVID-19 pandemic and has provided an update on actions they've taken since the outbreak began intended to support members and clubs.
“As soon as the scale of the rapidly developing situation became apparent, it set up a task force to respond to it, which is continuing to review the situation on an on-going basis,” says Jonathan Isaacs, chairman of the council.

It is with disappointment that St. John’s College must announce the cancellation of the 2020 Annapolis Cup. Due to both CDC and Maryland Department of Health guidelines for crowds, it is in the best interest of the health, safety, and welfare of our community to cancel the event.

The St Johns croquet team came to Hartfield, Virginia to play a challenge match with the Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club. In all, 30 players competed in this two-day tournament. The first day was all American 6-Wicket and the second day was all Golf Croquet. Both days had two flight and were played in the Swiss format where winners play winners and losers play losers and all players played the same number of games.

The PCA Board of Directors has decided to hold the opening season of the PCA Pro Tour in 2021 and will cancel all previously scheduled PCA Pro Tour events in 2020.

The USCA has issued the following letter from President Sara Low announcing the cancellation of the 2020 Croquet Week events due to the coronavirus:
Over the last few days we have received several inquiries as to the USCA’s response to COVID-19, and particularly now as this virus has been identified in Florida. The safety of USCA members, event participants and staff is and remains our highest priority. The USCA office and Management Committee are closely monitoring the World Health Organization, the Center for Disease Control, and local health agency websites and bulletins for updates and guidance.

The Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club will host the 2020 Women’s International Friendship Cup October 20-25, 2020. The event will feature golf croquet play and top women croquet players from across the world are expected to participate. The Friendship Cup is open to women players of all ages and abilities.

This factors the key test between Ireland and Sweden in a battle for Tier 1 survival. Croquet Scores reports a 5-4 victory for Ireland, which would knock Sweden down to Tier 2.
