This morning marked the start of the MacRobertson Shield AC World Team Tier 1 Championship at the Roehampton and Hurlingham Clubs in England. Roehampton features England vs Australia and Hurlingham has New Zealand vs USA.
Day 1 of Shield play features doubles play and the early action has New Zealand is leading two of three matches 1-0 versus the U.S. and down 1-0 in the other match. England is leading two of three 1-0, with the third match not yet reporting a score.
Tiers 2.1 and 2.2/3 are into their third day, with Wales and Ireland leading the way with wins in the opening round. Early action today has Scotland up 2-0 on Wales and Ireland tied 1-1 with Canada.
