US Players Invited to Declare Availability for 2027 AC World Championship

American players interested in competing in the 2027 Association Croquet World Championship are invited to declare their availability to the United States Croquet Association by August 26, 2026.

The championship will be held January 30-February 7, 2027, in the Wellington region of New Zealand. The field will accommodate 80 players, with places awarded through the World Croquet Federation’s ranking, wildcard and member-association allocation processes.

USCA members wishing to be considered for a ranking place, wildcard or USCA membership place should email both the USCA Selection Committee at USCASelectionCommittee@gmail.com and USCA Tournament Services at tournament@uscroquet.com.

Championship Venues

Competition will be conducted across five clubs in the Wellington region:

  • Kelburn Municipal Croquet Club, Wellington — five courts

  • Wellington Municipal Croquet Club, Wellington — three courts

  • Waimarie Hutt Valley Croquet Club, Hutt City — five courts and tournament headquarters

  • Paraparaumu Croquet Club, Paraparaumu — four courts

Qualifying Tournament

A qualifying tournament will be held January 24-27, 2027, at Rose Gardens Croquet Club in Palmerston North, approximately two hours north of Wellington by car.

The qualifier will have a maximum field of 24 players. Its format will be determined after the number of entries is known. Rose Gardens Croquet Club has six courts available for the competition.

Selection and Allocation Process

Following the August 26 availability deadline, the USCA, acting on the recommendations of its Association Croquet Selection Committee, will submit the names of all available players to the WCF before September 6. The submission will also identify players who wish to be considered for wildcard places.

The WCF is scheduled to announce ranking and wildcard selections on October 4. The USCA will then nominate players for its membership allocations from among eligible USCA members who declared availability but did not receive a ranking or wildcard place.
