Several years ago, a few of us at the club decided to start keeping track of how many students Macey White had taught. Macey began teaching croquet back in 2015, so this year marks eleven years on the court. In that time, he's earned his national-level certification to teach both Golf Croquet and American 6-Wicket.

England took an 11-7 win over New Zealand on Sunday to go 3-0 in the 2026 MacRobertson Shield to repeat as champions. The MacRob win is their 16th in a competition that dates back 101 years to 1925.

Both teams arrive at the Surbiton Croquet Club with perfect 2-0 records through the opening two rounds. Under the championship’s round-robin format, the winner of the final Test will claim the Shield, while Australia and the United States meet simultaneously to decide third place.

It was a beautiful weekend for croquet as 24 players from as far away as Florida, Georgia, Colorado, Oklahoma, Indiana, and Illinois traveled to Wisconsin to compete in the 2nd Annual Milwaukee Doubles Open at the picturesque Lake Park setting.

This morning marked the start of the MacRobertson Shield AC World Team Tier 1 Championship at the Roehampton and Hurlingham Clubs in England. Roehampton features England vs Australia and Hurlingham has New Zealand vs USA.

The United States opens play Friday, July 24, in the 100th edition of the MacRobertson Shield, the world team championship for Association Laws Croquet, as Tier 1 competition begins among the event's four traditional powers: England, the USA, Australia and New Zealand.

Nine nations are battling for position in the Tier 2 and Tier 3 pools of the 2026 MacRobertson Shield, running July 22-27 at Nottingham Croquet Club, as the world team championship's centenary edition builds toward Friday's start of Tier 1 competition among the top four nations.
