Eight players compete in annual American Six Wicket tournament featuring high-low doubles format.
The Tega Cay Croquet Club hosted its annual American Six Wicket Doubles Tournament on September 16, bringing together eight club members for a day of friendly competition on the club's full-sized court.
The tournament featured a high-low doubles format, pairing players for a series of 45-minute timed games played in a round-robin competition. With each team facing the field, consistency throughout the day was key to finishing at the top of the standings.
When the final results were tallied, Dave Dill and Nick Rizos emerged as tournament champions, while John Webb and Nancy Nicholson claimed runner-up honors.
The event also included a sandwich lunch provided by Publix, adding a social element to the club's annual competition. The tournament offered another opportunity for Tega Cay members to enjoy competitive croquet and the camaraderie that makes club events a highlight of the season.
