Come Watch the Best Players in the World Compete
The world’s top "Golf Croquet" players have gathered in West Palm Beach, Florida, as the inaugural US Open Golf Croquet Championship starts today, January 6, and runs through Saturday, January 11. Hosted at the stunning National Croquet Center (700 Florida Mango Road), this week-long international event promises thrilling matches and an unmatched spectator experience.
Daily Schedule and Spectator Experience
Matches begin at approximately 8:30 AM each day and conclude around 5:30 PM, giving spectators plenty of time to enjoy the action. Visitors can relax on the club’s charming veranda or get up close to the action from one of the shaded shelters around the grounds. Make it a fun outing with friends—this is your chance to showcase why croquet has captured your heart!
The Center’s restaurant is open to the public from 11:30 AM to 2 PM Tuesday through Saturday, offering snacks and meals to enjoy on the veranda while watching the games. For a special treat, join the dinner service from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Reservations for dinner are recommended—call 561-478-2300 and select the Grille Room.
An Elite International Field
The competition features 32 elite players representing eight countries, with 15 of them ranked in the top 10 within their respective nations. Among the notable participants:
Robert Fletcher (Australia): The world’s top-ranked Golf Croquet player.
Edmund Fordyce (New Zealand): New Zealand’s number one player.
Matthew Essick (USA): The 2022 World Champion and top-ranked American player.
Brian Lozano (Mexico): Mexico’s top competitor.
Players from England, Egypt, Canada, and Spain are also in the mix, making this a truly global showcase of croquet talent.
