Ellery McClatchy passed away at his hilltop Ink Grade estate in Pope Valley on Tuesday morning, September 20, 2011, at the age of 86. He was foundearly in the morning by his Miko, his longtime assistant and chef.

The Sunshine Coast Daily has reported that Margaret Melville took down reigning world champion Alix Verge 7-4, 6-7, 3-7, 7-5, 7-4 in the Australian Women's Single GC final at the Headland Buderim Croquet Club.

Morning Coffee: K.J. Choi Rocks Golf with a Better Putting Stroke

K.J. Choi stirred up the golf scene by introducing a croquet-style swing (video above) this summer. I think we all understand why this will be more effective. I was unaware that golf had made it illegal years ago to straddle the ball during a swing for a true croquet-style putting stroke. Must not look good on TV.
