Most of the top-ranked teams had fairly easy matches, but a couple of matches were especially competitive. Jeff Dawson (England) and David Walters (Wales) bested Ben Rothman (USA) and Gavin Carter (Jersey) with two triples by Dawson.

2016 North Florida Cup

On February 13, 2016, near the St. John's River just south of downtown Jacksonville, Florida, 16 representatives of the Hammock Dunes Croquet Association met with 16 representatives of the Florida Yacht Club to compete for the new "North Florida Croquet Cup." It was the first of what the clubs hope will be many inter-club events among several new, and not so new, croquet clubs in North Florida.

FROM THE SOLOMON TROPHY COVERAGE
When Captain Samir Patel was bringing the sterling silver Solomon Trophy through customs, he was asked if he was planning to leave anything of value in the USA. His response, "Of course not."

FROM THE JOHN OSBORN PROFILE
Ted
Prentis was my partner and he told me, toward the end of a match,
that if I missed a shot we would lose. We were so far ahead I argued
with him, then missed the shot ... and then lost. There is a lesson
there, and one day I will figure out what it might be.

2015 Most Popular Croquet YouTube Channels

One of the quietly growing segments for the sport of croquet on the internet is YouTube. The traffic is still minor compared to the crazy videos that will notch views in the millions, but the overall segment of YouTube channels that Croquet Network tracks has grown from 12 to 18 since the start of 2014. And the total views for that group has gone from 434,000 to 603,000 during the same timeframe.
