Matt Griffith attempts to take his break through the turn at the 42nd GACA KC Invitational in Kansas City on August 15, 2015. When word got out out that there was a funnel at the turn stake, everyone wanted to see how Griffith approached. For the record, he did win this game and the event.

Plus One on Time is an excellent croquet book for the aspiring Association Croquet player and deals with tactical skills for players in the 18 to 6 handicap range.
The book is laid out clearly and has sections for different handicap ranges. It present information and analysis for the various levels of abilities; the author identifies which parts would suit the 12+, 8+ and 6+ handicap ranges. Separate chapters deal with the End Game and Pegged-out & One-ball games. Additionally advice is offered on hampered shots and other tactical niceties.

WMUR at Strawbery Banke Croquet Club
The Strawbery Banke Croquet Club (Rye, N.H.) defeated the Croquet Club of Vermont (Woodstock, Vt.) 7-5 on an almost perfect summer day in New Hampshire, July 8, 2015. The venue was Jim McLaughlin’s 2/3-size, artificial surface court in Rye, located between downtown Portsmouth and the seacoast. Twenty-one players participated. A local TV station aired the clip above.
"Coppa del Serchio" Golf Croquet Open Championship 2015
The Federazione Italiana Sport Croquet has announced the "Coppa del Serchio" Golf Croquet Open Championship 2015, which will take place on September 19-20, 2015 at the "Acquedotto" Sporting Centre in Lucca. The event will be part of the new European Masters series (http://www.eurocroquet.com/european-masters/).

Croquetscores.com is showing Miranda Chapman has advanced 26tp-0, 26tp-9 over Alison Sharpe with a 2-0 lead, but I thought earlier reports indicated that the semifinals would be best of five. In fact, Chris Clarke's commentary supports the best of five theory:
"Today's matches are best of 5 and the following time limits have been imposed 3/5/7/9/11"
2016 USCA National AC Championship Announced
The USCA National Association Laws Championship is scheduled for February 29-March 5, 2016 at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California.
Fulford's Gets His Eleventh Open Championship
LONDON, ENGLAND -- Robert Fulford claimed his record 11th Croquet Association Open Championship with a 26-6, 26-19 win over Paddy Chapman today at the Surbiton Croquet Club in London. It was his second straight Open title and he previously had a series of three straight wins from 2006-2008. John Solomon won six straight during 1963-1968.
2015 CA Open: Chapman vs Fulford
The 2015 Open Championships being held at the Surbiton Croquet Club in London this week has successfully narrowed down to Paddy Chapman and Robert Fulford for the finals to be held on Sunday, July 15, 2015. Chapman made is way by going through Robert Wilkinson (2-1), Ben Rothman (2-1), David Maugham (2-0) and James Death (2-0). Death was on his own path prior to facing Chapman as he knocked off Luc Berthouse (2-0), Jose Riva (2-0) and Reg Bamford (2-1).
Fulford had a bye in the first round of the knockout then took out Robert Hurst (2-0), Stephen Mulliner (2-0) and Jamie Burch (2-1).
Americans Rothman and Hurst after making the final knockout had the unique distinction of being eliminated by the two finalists.
