A new independent platform is changing how players, fans and administrators explore the competitive world of Golf Croquet. Created by North Toronto Croquet Club member Adam Barr, GCrankings.com transforms World Croquet Federation (WCF) rankings and results data into a comprehensive analytics platform that offers unprecedented insight into the international game. Combining interactive dashboards, historical data, player profiles and advanced statistical tools, the site represents one of the most significant developments in croquet data analysis to date.
While the WCF has long provided rankings and tournament results, GCrankings.com takes that information much further. The platform allows users to visualize trends, compare players, analyze countries and explore competitive histories through a modern interface more commonly associated with major professional sports.
"It's difficult to overstate how much information is contained within the WCF rankings database," said Barr. "The goal was to make that data accessible, useful and enjoyable to explore. Once the project began taking shape, it became clear that there was an opportunity to create something the entire croquet community could benefit from."
UNDER THE HOOD
Among the site's extensive features are player profiles, country analytics, event histories and head-to-head comparison tools. Users can examine Performance by Grade Band, Rivals Records, Longest Winning and Losing Streaks, Win Rate by Opponent Strength, Best Wins, Regrade History and Hook Performance, along with dozens of other statistical measures and visualizations.
The platform also includes historical leaderboards, country rankings and downloadable data that can be useful for selectors, commentators and national governing bodies.
For players, the site offers an opportunity to relive memorable victories, revisit difficult defeats, study rivals and track long-term progress. Selectors can leverage head-to-head data and country rankings to support decision-making. Commentators gain access to comparative statistics that can enrich broadcasts, while national associations can easily explore participation, rankings and performance trends within their countries.
Barr began developing the project during the winter of 2026 while waiting for the Canadian croquet season to begin.
"It started as a personal experiment," he explained. "As the project evolved, it became clear that many others would enjoy exploring the data as much as I did."
Although the public launch has been relatively quiet, development has been anything but. Since its initial release earlier this spring, Barr has already deployed 11 major updates and enhancements. Most notably, the platform recently expanded beyond Golf Croquet to include Association Croquet rankings data, significantly broadening its scope and usefulness.
The result is a resource that brings a new level of transparency, accessibility and engagement to the sport. Similar analytics platforms have become commonplace across mainstream sports, allowing fans and participants to explore performance data in ways that deepen understanding and create new conversations. Until now, croquet has lacked a comparable tool.
LOOKING AHEAD
Barr has shared his development roadmap and progress with Croquet Network. Based on our early look, Barr will soon be delivering new tools for the croquet community that will significantly benefit players, tournament directors and all of the world’s croquet associations. In the meantime, Barr is looking forward to defending his national championship title at the Oakley Woods Canadian National Golf Croquet Championship at the North Toronto Croquet Club, July 16-19.
As international croquet continues to grow, GCrankings.com provides a powerful new way to explore the sport's history, understand its present and follow its future.
