Tulsa’s Indian Territory Open launches 2026 standings race as Midwest Regional joins Tour schedule
The 2026 Mallet Series Tour season is underway following the Indian Territory Open in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where Oklahoma City's Scott Spradling turned in a dominant performance to capture the Championship Flight title and take the early lead in the Pro Series standings.
Hosted by the Tulsa Croquet Club at LaFortune Park over Memorial Day weekend, the American Six-Wicket event served as the opening stop of the 2026 Tour schedule. Despite heavy rain that disrupted play on both Friday and Saturday, tournament officials successfully completed the full slate of matches.
Spradling finished a perfect 9-0 for the weekend, defeating Dylan Goodwin of the Kansas City Croquet Club 15-13 in the Championship Flight final. In First Flight, Carl Archiniaco claimed the title with a 26-16 victory over Art Parsells after posting a 7-1 record during the tournament.
The event also included a Waterford Doubles competition, won by Goodwin with Spradling finishing second.
Early Tour Standings Take Shape
With the Indian Territory Open serving as the season opener, the first points of the 2026 Mallet Series Tour standings have been awarded.
Spradling leads the Pro Series race with 25 points, followed by Goodwin (18), Matt Baird (15), Stuart Price (12) and Kevin McQuigg (10). In the Gold Series standings, Archiniaco sits atop the leaderboard with 25 points, ahead of Parsells (18) and Suzanne Spradling (15).
The club competition is also underway, with the Tulsa Croquet Club taking the early lead after accumulating 67 points across the weekend's events. Kansas City Croquet Club currently sits second.
Midwest Regional Added to Tour Schedule
The biggest development coming out of Tulsa may be the expansion of the 2026 schedule.
Tour organizers have confirmed that the USCA Midwest American Six-Wicket Regional Championship, scheduled for Sept. 4-7 in Tulsa, has been added to the Mallet Series Tour calendar. The addition gives American Six-Wicket players another opportunity to earn Tour points and strengthens the Tour's presence in the Midwest.
The Midwest Regional joins a growing schedule that now includes:
Indian Territory Open (Tulsa, Oklahoma)
U.S. Golf Croquet Classic (Denver, Colorado)
USCA Midwest Regional Championship (Tulsa, Oklahoma)
North American Open Golf Croquet Championship (Hartfield, Virginia)
The addition of the Midwest Regional creates a second American Six-Wicket stop on the Tour and provides another pathway for players chasing year-end Series honors.
Looking Ahead
The next stop on the 2026 Mallet Series Tour is the sold-out U.S. Golf Croquet Classic, scheduled for June 12-14 in Denver, Colorado. The event will feature 24 competitors competing at Washington Park and the Denver Country Club.
The Tour will conclude in October with the North American Open Golf Croquet Championship at the Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club in Hartfield, Virginia, one of North America's premier croquet venues with 24 championship courts.
Organizers have also indicated that additional fall events remain under consideration, with further announcements expected later in the season.
