The Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club (CBCC) is committed to fostering the growth and inclusivity of croquet by making participation more accessible to younger players. Recognizing the importance of engaging players under the age of 30, the club has implemented significant changes to its membership and tournament fee structure.
To encourage greater involvement from younger croquet enthusiasts, the CBCC has lowered its tournament entry fees and is offering complimentary memberships to players under the age of 30. This initiative directly addresses one of the primary concerns facing young players: the financial barrier posed by membership dues and tournament costs. Individuals younger than 30 are invited to join the CBCC at no cost. As members, they receive unrestricted access to all club facilities at any time. Additional benefits include exclusive discounts for tournaments and events as well as free lodging at the club during non-event days.
CBCC members are encouraged to bring guests to enjoy the club’s amenities. Guests under 30 are welcome at no charge. For guests 30 or older, the club permits up to four complimentary visits; beyond the fourth visit, a daily fee of $30 per person will be required.
Applicants for membership who are under 18 years old must obtain signed approval from a parent or guardian. Additionally, any child under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while on club property to ensure their safety and compliance with club policies.
