01. Player Lists Announced for AC Worlds
In April, the World Croquet Federation (WCF) announced the first round of the player lists for the 2025 Association Croquet World Championship. Even with the rising popularity of golf croquet, this post was the most viewed over the entire year, demonstrating the ongoing interest in AC. (FULL ARTICLE)
02. GCWC: USA Wins Early 7-0
In February, Team USA captured its first team world championship in Tasmania in the Openshaw Shield finals with a 7-0 win over the legendary Egyptian team. (FULL ARTICLE)
03. US Open GC 2025: Live Streaming ANNOUNCEMENT
The new US Open Golf Croquet (GC) Championship drew interest from the Croquet Network as fans were particularly interested in the livestream schedule. The sport had a lot of momentum on the livestream front in 2025 and dating back to the GCWC in October of 2024. After showcasing the U21 GC World Championship in April, the USCA pushed the concept to another level by partnering with a professional livestreaming company for the AC Worlds event in October. 04. 2025 Croquet News Volume 1: US Open GC Coverage
The release of the Spring 2025 Digital Edition of the USCA's Croquet News magazine in February proved to be popular as the issue highlighted the inaugural U.S. Open GC tournament, where Australia’s Robert Fletcher claimed victory. 05. USCA Announces 2025 National Championship Dates
On January 18, 2025, the USCA announced all four premier national events in one press release and this proved to be one of the top posts for Croquet Network, showcasing the interest from the American croquet community. (FULL ARTICLE)
06. 2025 WCF AC WorldS Championship Program
Following the success of the WCF GC Worlds Croquet News special preview edition in 2024, the USCA and WCF worked with the team here at Croquet Network / Goodwin World Media to produce a standalone program for the 2025 AC Worlds event in October. The edition has a small press run, and copies were provided to all participating players. Additionally, the edition was made available as a digital version to the global croquet community at no charge. The edition saw readership that matched the same levels as the top digital versions of the Croquet News. (FULL ARTICLE)
07. Is Croquet Really a Growing Sport?
Just a few weeks ago, we released historical data on croquet player participation in WCF-ranked games from the AC and GC rankings websites. The charted information shows clear trends, and the article proved to be both popular and controversial as croquet enthusiasts and amateur data scientists pondered the implications of the information. From a Croquet Network perspective, we stand behind the article as the only known data measurement of total growth in participation, noting that the figures are understated for overall participation. 08. USCA Announces New Home for YouTube Channel
When the USCA announced a new home for the organization’s YouTube channel in August, fans across the world paid close attention in anticipation of livestreaming for the AC Worlds. Supporters are now interested in seeing what’s next for the USCA’s video plans. (FULL ARTICLE)
09. St. John’s and Navy Gear Up for 41st Annapolis Cup
The one constant in the sport of croquet is that the Annapolis Cup continues to draw the biggest spectator audience every April. While St. John’s has a 32-9 advantage in the series, Navy picked up the win in 2025 and is 2-2 in this decade. (FULL ARTICLE)
10. North Toronto Shines as Host of 2025 Canadian GC Nationals
Interest in croquet in Canada is growing as the North Toronto Croquet proudly hosted the 2025 Canadian National Golf Croquet Championship from July 10-13, and welcomed 26 players from 15 clubs across Canada, United States, England, Spain and Egypt. Adam Barr defended his national title, securing his status as one of Canada’s premier croquet players. (FULL ARTICLE)
