Women’s AC and A6 USCA Nationals to Debut in February

Back-to-back events in February 2026 mark a milestone for women’s competitive croquet in the United States

The United States Croquet Association will stage its first women’s-only national championships in February 2026, introducing dedicated Association Croquet and A6W titles in a landmark step for competitive opportunities in the sport.

The inaugural Women’s Association Croquet National Championship will be held Feb. 15–18, followed immediately by the Women’s A6W National Championship from Feb. 19–22. Both events will take place at the National Croquet Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, creating a full week of championship-level competition focused exclusively on women players.

The addition of women’s-only national championships represents a significant expansion of the USCA’s competitive calendar, offering a dedicated national platform for female players across disciplines. By scheduling the events consecutively at the same venue, the association aims to make participation more accessible for players traveling from across the country.

The Women’s Association Croquet National Championship will be contested as a single flight featuring both singles and doubles play. The Women’s A6W National Championship will feature two singles flights, with doubles competition to be added if participation numbers allow. The Championship Flight in A6W is open to all entrants regardless of handicap, while First Flight is reserved for players with a handicap of 2.5 or higher.

Tournament organization for both championships will be led by Jeff Soo, with Eileen Soo serving as tournament referee. Match play will determine the first champions in each discipline, with winners earning their place on new perpetual trophies that will be displayed permanently at the National Croquet Center.

Beyond titles and trophies, the championships are expected to play an important role in strengthening the women’s competitive pipeline in U.S. croquet, offering national-level recognition and helping raise the profile of women’s play within the broader croquet community.
