The Beach Club, Palm Beach, Florida, is looking for a new Croquet Director. The Beach Club Croquet Director is a seasonal employee who is eligible for benefits. The term, to be mutually agreed, would extend roughly from mid-to-late November through late April/early May and is afforded flexibility to play in select sanctioned tournaments, as mutually agreed in advance.
The primary responsibilities include:
Arrange pairings and oversee weekly organized play Thursday through Sunday consisting of 2-3 matches each day.
Organize and run clinics as needed to encourage expansion of the program to new players as well as to provide improvement for more experienced players. Give private lessons, as requested.
Run 2 sanctioned invitational tournaments (GC in mid-December and 6-wicket at the end of January).
Organize and oversee two 2-day Member/Guest events (GC and 6-wicket) and two 2-day Club Championships (GC and 6-wicket).
Oversee pairings and play for periodic social events.
Oversee InterClub GC league, with specific responsibility for pairings for the 14 InterClub GC matches with 7 local clubs.
Set pairings for TBC teams for the USCA 6-wicket Club Teams.
