Croquet Network Seeks Correspondents to Build a True Global Media Voice for the Sport

Croquet is played at a high level across multiple continents and codes with an impressive number of national-level events and world championships, yet consistent global media coverage remains limited. While national associations and international federations do an excellent job organizing events and supporting competition, the sport itself has never had a sustained, independent media platform dedicated to telling its story worldwide.

Croquet Network was created to fill that gap, but frankly, it has operated primarily as a prototype. The sport deserves a strong media outlet and we are now ready to take the next steps to make that happen.

Croquet Network is seeking volunteer correspondents to contribute knowledgeable, independent coverage that reflects the full breadth of the sport — across regions, disciplines, and competitive levels.

We are currently recruiting contributors able to provide focused coverage in the following areas:

  • Geographic regions:
    Europe
    Australia
    New Zealand

  • Competitive disciplines:
    Association Croquet
    Golf Croquet
    American Six Wicket

Correspondents may contribute tournament reports, previews, analysis pieces, player profiles, historical context, or governance-related coverage within their area of expertise. Contributions can be occasional or recurring, depending on interest and availability.

This is currently a volunteer position well-suited for players, officials, administrators and experienced writers who recognize the importance of establishing a permanent media record for the sport — one that exists independently of event promotion or organizational priorities. Contributors receive bylines, editorial guidance, and visibility through Croquet Network’s growing international readership.

Interested candidates should submit their information via the Croquet Network contact form:

Please include a brief note outlining your region or discipline of focus, as well as your background in the sport.

As growth for the sport continues to accelerate, croquet deserves better media coverage. It needs independent, consistent, global journalism. Croquet Network plans to fulfill its original mission and fill that void. We are committed to building that platform — and we invite contributors who believe the sport deserves it.
