Deep runs at the 2024 GC Worlds and 2025 AC Worlds pushed Robert Fletcher up to #3 on the Power List.

Croquet Network Power List 2025

December 30, 2025

Happy New Year to all of the Malletheads out there! Today, we take a look back at the top tags and pages viewed on Croquet Network during 2025 to create our “Annual Power List.” Supported by the overall player growth shown in last week’s “Is Croquet Really Growing?” article, Croquet Network continues to set new records in traffic and engagement and listed below are the top players, people, clubs, organizations and manufacturers that drove the site to new heights. We appreciate your support and hope you enjoy this annual tradition.

1. Dave Trimmer Mallets
This well-respected mallet brand that also took over the Pidcock lines tops the list for a third straight year.

2. Brian Cumming Mallets
The custom mallet maker proved to be popular with the growing audience of Canadian players.

3. Robert Fletcher
The world #1 in both AC and GC had made the WCF GC final in 2024, then backed that up with a run to the Last Four in this year’s AC Worlds.

4. Edmund Fordyce
The New Zealander has recently been working as a club pro in the U.S. and moved up from #14 on last year’s list. He holds the top ranking in GC for NZL players.

Edmund Fordyce was runner-up in the Bowl competition at the 2025 AC World Championship

6. Tom Balding
Ranked #2 in GC and #3 in AC in the U.S. and was also a key member of Team USA’s GCWTC Championship squad.

7. College Croquet National Championship
Slipped from the #2 spot in 2024, but the ranking indicates quite an interest in this under-the-radar event.

8. Tenerife Club de Croquet
The Canary Islands' croquet outpost makes an impressive showing, highlighting the sport's expanding European footprint in unexpected locations. See the Club Profile

9. North Toronto Croquet Club
Established in 1912 as a lawn bowling club, the croquet membership has surged in the past five years. As of 2024 season, the club had 67 total members, making it the second-largest croquet club in Canada. See the Club Profile

10. Matthew Essick
The former GC World Champion and two-time AC Worlds finalist is at the top of his class among American croquet players, currently holding the #2 World Ranking in GC and #7 in AC.

The Invictus Mallet

11. Invictus Croquet
The Fletcher brothers' new line of mallets and croquet balls are drawing a lot of attention, particularly with the Invictus balls being utilized at the recent AC Worlds in West Palm Beach, Fla. See the Company Profile

12. Dawson
Dawson balls were long regarded as the standard for top-level croquet players worldwide. Rumors at the 2025 AC World Championship indicate the balls may continue to be manufactured.

13. Dallas Croquet
The fifth-largest metro in North America continues to pop up as one of the most sought-after results on Croquet Network. Texas looks like a great place for USCA growth.

14. Terminator Mallets
Beyond the mallet line, Terminator is known for the Quadway Hoops and plenty of other creative products. Of note, the Quadway part of the business was sold to Jarrod Coutts in 2024.

15. Welsh Croquet Association
Small but strong association is ranked #7 for AC and #8 for GC in the WCF international team croquet rankings.

16. Morrinsville Croquet Club
The Morrinsville club will host the Croquet New Zealand AC Top Invitational event in February 2026.

17. European Croquet Federation
The WCF has now rebranded this organization as Croquet Europe. It operates under the WCF umbrella intending to develop the sport of croquet in Europe.

18. Alix Verge
Verge’s 2009 Women’s GC World Championship win is still viewed as one of the sports’ greatest single moments — a spectacular jump shot from the boundary at H13 in game five to claim the title.

19. Transforma Mallets
This mallet line from Australia offers club and tournament-level mallets with the Advance mallet made of aluminum with Ertalon faces as the top of the line option.

20. George Wood
George Wood founded Wood Mallets in partnership with his father, Peter, in 1982, establishing the brand as one of the premier lines for tournament-level croquet mallets.

21. Jeff Soo
One of the most accomplished and influential figures in American croquet. Soo was inducted into the U.S. Croquet Hall of Fame in 2024 and has won 21 national titles. He recently completed a 12-month stint that saw him act as tournament director for three WCF World Championships.

22. Sherif Abdelwahab
One of the most well-known and talented croquet players in the U.S. He was inducted into the U.S. Hall of Fame in 2020 and just won the 2025 American Rules National Championship tying Jeff Soo with 21 national titles that span all four codes plates in the U.S. --  AC, GC, American and Nine Wicket.

23. Strawbery Banke Croquet Club

High precision croquet mallets manufactured in Australia. White Tie Croquet is the U.S. distributor for PFC.

25. Stephen Morgan
Veteran U.S. player has national titles in three codes and was part of the 2025 Team USA squad that won the GCWTC in Tasmania in February. He has 601 career wins in AC and GC combined.

Stephen Morgan made it to Round 2 of the main knockout of 2025 AC World Championship

26. Macey White
Proved that building multi-court facilities can be done privately, as the Cheseapeake Bay Croquet Club is now the largest croquet facility in the world with 24 elite-level courts.

27. Mohamed Karem
Top-level Egyptian GC player made it to the GC World Final in 2019 and made news in 2025 by playing in the 2025 AC World Championship in October.

28. Navy Croquet
The Midshipmen won the 2025 Annapolis Cup in April and are now 2-2 in the series since 2020. Go Navy!

29. Ben Rothman
The 2019 GC World Champion was a key member of Team USA’s GCWTC winning team in February. The veteran player has won 10 national singles titles, the highest mark for all U.S. players.

Ben Rothman earned a trip to the Great Eight at the 2025 AC World Championship after getting a 3-1 win over six-time AC World Champion Robert Fulford

30. Russell Dilley
Founded the popular rdilley Croquet YouTube channel, which was supported by the USCA before the organization launched a new channel this summer. The rdilley Croquet channel ranks second for all croquet channels with 2000+ subscribers. Croquet England ranks #1 with 2600+ subscribers.
