Bamford Claims Sixth Title with Perfect KO Performance
South Africa’s Reg Bamford entered Sunday’s WCF Association Croquet World Championship final against England’s Mark Avery on an 11-game triple streak. After about 45 minutes of play in game one, that streak appeared to be in serious jeopardy as Avery had the first turn around and was well on his way to a triple win with peelee in the jawz of rover as he approached 3B with precision with a standard hoop shot. The ball stuck and that turn ended with just four hoops to go for potential 1-0 lead.

2025 AC Worlds Final Set: Avery vs Bamford
Croquet fans around the world were treated to another thrilling day of championship play at the National Croquet Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Saturday as England’s Mark Avery rallied from two games down to defeat world No. 1 Robert Fletcher (AUS) 3–2 in a dramatic semifinal. On the opposite side of the draw, Reg Bamford (ZAF) advanced in three straight over Logan McCorkindale (NZL) to secure his place in Sunday’s 2025 WCF AC World Championship final.

Four Players Left Standing for the 2025 AC Worlds
It was another intense day of croquet as nine players took to the lawns with dreams of advancing one more round at the 2025 AC World Championship at the National Croquet Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. By the end of the day, only four players would remain in the Championship event.

Day Two of the AC Worlds Championship Knockout saw intense action on four courts at the National Croquet Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. With the Mark Avery (ENG) versus Andrew Johnston (IRL), pegged down, the field is now at nine players. That match is expected to start shortly after 8:00 a.m. eastern time this morning with Avery up 2-1.

2023 AC Worlds: Last Eight
Round Two of the WCF Association Croquet World Championships did not disappoint as there was plenty of action at Hurlingham as 16 players took to the courts looking for a chance to advance to the last eight. Here’s a quick summary of the day’s action. World #1 Robert Fletcher (AUS) was the first one through to the Last Eight based on a 3-0 win over #46 Gavin Carter (ENG) with three triples. That kept a streak of 14 straight games with a peeling finish for Fletcherhich means a peeling finish in 14 straight games.
